First post of 2009 and it feels...well, just like any old post from 2008, to be honest. The only difference is that I'm sick today and hopped up on NyQuil, which means that I could fall asleep on my keyboard at any moment. If this blog entry becomes a keymash of letters and numbers, you'll know the meds have kicked in. I guess I should get to the point here.
So last October, my friend
Sasha Watson had her book come out, and I have been completely remiss in mentioning it! It's called
"Vidalia in Paris" and it's awesome, just like Sasha herself. Vidalia is an art student who goes to study in Paris for the summer, and she meets a mysterious art dealer named Marco. I can't say anymore because it'll ruin the plot, but definitely check it out.
I've also done a few interviews over the past several months.
Little Willow asked me questions at her book blog, which
I happily answered. If you love YA, or you want to learn more about it, check out her site. It's a veritable YA smorgasboard and features dozens of fantastic authors.
And I'm off to crawl back into bed. One of the few good things about being ill is that I have a lot of time to lie in bed and read and organize my music. In fact, I spent most of yesterday digitizing my mix tapes from high school. (Yeah, it's a 24/7 party around here.) Here's a song that
my friend Anna-Lynne gave me while in junior year. The gift that keeps on giving.
U2, "Stay (Faraway, So Close!)" (live in Dublin 1993)
"A vampire or a victim / It depends on who's around..."
That U2 song is awesome. I hadn't heard it before.

I love love love your book. (:
Your book and I had a chance encounter when I picked it up at the library in the middle of the encyclopedias. I'm assuming it wasn't supposed to be there, but I'm so glad it was. Needless to say, instead of working on my project, I read your book instead. It was totally worth it too.
Your characters are cool and are really relateable in a way that won't let me put down the book until I'm finished. ( Took me about one and a half to two hours to finish it. ) After I read it, it actually inspired me to get off my lazy butt and start writing again.
So, thanks for writing a really cool book that I could actually get my book hating friends to read quite easily. And, thanks for introducing me to some cool, new music.
"Audrey, wait!"

Ugh tried emailing you lolz but that didn't work out so well :P I've just got a few questions about authorism (rofl authorism!). I've wanted to start a book of my own - but I always get stuck and scared before just sitting down and typing x] I was wondering - how do you get your characters to just run smoothly with your story? Don't think that makes sense :P - Like - do you just sit down and type what comes to you? Or should I write down my idea's and think about it a lil bit more? I really to start this whole my bookish idea about a year ago... but I just can't piece it all together - if you see this and anwser this that'd help so much. ^^ and loved your book! my god I devoured it so quickly! Lovable characters - amazing plot - ugh love your voice through the whole thing ^^ mmk - laterz! :D

Hello!
I quote : "My new book "The Extraordinary Secrets of April, May & June" will be out in August 2010."
In Switzerland your book, translated to french, is already available for the teenagers of our highschool (I'm the librarian :-) and I choosed it, in regard to the success of your first novel!)
So your book in english must have been published a little bit before august... Can you tell us if there is already another book on April, June and May?
Thank's for your answer... and for your books!

That's great that people are able to take the loan and this opens up completely new chances.
